My name is Emma and I have two much loved young boys of my own, the eldest is six and my youngest is one. They get on brilliantly and I am so proud of how they get on with each other.

I am a newly registered Child minder who has had six years experience of working with children of all ages. In 2001 I completed my Cache Certificate in child care and education, which I achieved a merit. I have had experience with children from birth to 11 years old in a range of child care settings including baby units, toy libraries, family centers, nurseries, school and holiday clubs.

II have also completed a Diploma in starting your own Child minding business, a Diploma in Child Day Care and the pre-registration course for child minding, which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I am currently undertaking a degree in childhood and youth studies as I am keen to build on my knowledge and understanding in this area to become a teacher, which is my long term goal.

My partner is 27 years old; he has been involved in care settings for the last 9 years. He currently has a Btec first Diploma in early years and an VQ in Health and Social Care amongst several other qualifications. He also has ambitions to do the pre-registration course in child minding. He currently works for Blackpool Social Services but his flexibility in work hours will mean that he is on hand the majority of the time.

We have both recently run in the Beaver brooks 10k fun run.
